We started the activity in our facilities of Castellbisbal

The new infrastructures will allow us to increase the volume of daily merchandise by 75%, to almost 3,000 tons.

BARCELONA, November 14, 2016. Since last Monday, November 7, at TSB we have expanded our transportation activity in the Castellbisbal facilities once the adaptation and modernization actions have been completed. After important works to adapt the infrastructure, the new center, located on a plot of 40,000m2, has 20,000m2 of crossdock and increases to a total of 93 loading docks. With this opening we tripled the company’s current crossdock square meters in the Barcelona area.

This important investment will allow us to increase the volume of operations by 75%, from 1,700,000 kilos per day of merchandise to almost 3,000,000 kilos. The center, located in Castellbisbal, is considered one of the neuralgic centers of communications in the province and is very well connected with the A2 and with a direct access to the industrial area of the municipality.

This expansion is part of TSB’s firm commitment to high-quality service and continuous improvement in line with its management guided by the EFQM model and internal quality standards. We also respond to the needs of our customers as part of a growth process that is added to the recent enlargements of the centers such as Tarragona, Seville or Zaragoza.

After this inauguration of activity, at TSB we expect to continue to increase our business volume levels towards 2017.

In TSB we will maintain the current facilities in Barberá del Vallés with 13,000 m2, together with the 8,000 m2 of Villalba Saserra, which means having 42,000 m2 operating in the province.
