If we recently mentioned the imposing Tesla truck, which is expected to be on the roads by 2019, it is now the turn of the Daimler truck division, which recently presented the Daimler E-Fuso Vision One. Which is planned to be its first 100% electric truck.

With an initial autonomy range of 350 km, it is mainly oriented towards interurban distribution.

The E-Fuso Vision One truck weighs approximately 23 tons and can transport up to 11 tons of cargo. It has an electric battery of 300 kWh that provides the previously mentioned 350 kilometers of autonomy. The data has not yet been provided regarding the time it will take to be connected to an electrical outlet for a full charge.

The president and CEO of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) and head of Daimler Trucks Asia Marc Llistosella, said they plan to electrify the full range of trucks and buses in the coming years. And he announced that all of the company’s electric vehicles will be marketed under the new E-Fuso brand, which will only be dedicated to manufacturing electric trucks and buses.

According to Daimler the new E-Fuso Vision One could be available in four years, approximately between the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022, in markets such as Japan or Europe.
