Daimler Trucks achieves the best sales figure in ten years with more than 500,000 trucks sold in 2018 worldwide. More than the 470,700 units sold in 2017.

This figure has been reached by adding their different brands: Mercedes-Benz, Fuso, Freightliner, Western Star, Thomas Built Buses and BharatBenz.

Where the truck division grew the most in 2018 was in North America, although it also experienced significant growth in Asia and South America.

In the NAFTA region (free trade zone between Canada, the United States and Mexico), sales increased by 15% to 172,700 units in the first eleven months of the year.

In Asia, sales increased 12% to 147,900 units. And in Latin America between January and November of last year sales grew by 26% to 34,400 units.

In the EU30 region, made up of the European Union, Switzerland and Norway, sales increased by 4% in 2018 in the first eleven months of the year.

It is expected that Daimler will provide the final figures in the official presentation of results that will take place on February 6.
