Asefapi Technical Congress 2019

Recently ASEFAPI, Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Paints and Printing Inks held its XXVIII Technical Congress.

This event is organized every two years and this year took place at the Novotel Madrid Center with record participation.

The objective of these days is to present the latest scientific news and promote relationships with other technicians in the sector.

The congress was attended by 129 companies in the sector and more than 300 technicians, who were able to enjoy 16 presentations of various kinds. Like: the new multifunctional coatings, new generations of aqueous dispersions and the development of coating based on organometallic compounds for the improvement of indoor air quality, among others.

28 suppliers of the sector had points of attention and documentation presentation during the congress, so that attendees could visit and discuss their commercial proposals with them.

Dr. Carles Mongay was responsible for welcoming everyone on behalf of ASEFAPI and as president of the Technical Commission and president of CTN-48, he valued the work of the technicians and the importance of this type of event for the sector.

He made special mention of the subject of standardization of paints and varnishes and the importance of the participation of technicians in the various groups.

The person in charge of closing the Congress was Don Francisco Perelló, president of ASEFAPI. During the closing ceremony he presented the current situation and perspectives of the sector for the coming years.

The next edition of the XXIX Technical Congress will take place in 2021.
