The new BNEW took place between October 6 and 9. As we mentioned some time ago in our Linkedin, this hybrid event is organized by the Barcelona Free Zone Consortium and was created in response to the limitations imposed by the health crisis.
More than 37 sponsoring companies and more than 50 agreements with sectoral clusters on a global scale participated in the event.
The different events have been held in three emblematic buildings in Barcelona such as “La Estación de Francia”, the Movistar Center and “La Casa Seat”.
In this its first edition, more than 9,000 participants from 111 countries have been able to access the digital platform to participate and generate new contacts.
During the first day of the event, more than 16,000 contacts were registered among the attendees. With a total throughout the event of more than 23,000 contacts between professionals.
At the close, 160 hours of content had been carried out through the technological platform that could be followed by attendees from all over the world. And where more than 390 speakers participated distributed in 96 panels.
The largest number of attendees has come from Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela.
The event has managed to bring together five fundamental sectors such as logistics, digital industry, real estate, Ecommerce and economic zones, which are formed by free zones, industrial and technology parks, economic regions, innovation districts , and governments and business development agencies.
During the event, various topics were discussed. Like the current city model, collaboration, circular economy and sustainability. The possible benefits of artificial intelligence were also discussed
