This June, between the 26th and the 28th, the twenty-first edition of the SIL will take place in Barcelona.
This fair is currently considered one of the leading trade fairs in logistics, transport, intralogistics and supply chain in southern Europe.
As in previous years, it will be held at the Montjuic-Plaza España Exhibition Center of Fira de Barcelona. On the Avenida Reina Maria Cristina s / n. The opening hours for visitors are from 9 am to 7 pm on June 26 and 27. And from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on June 28.
This edition is expected to involve more than 650 companies. With more than 50 countries represented.
Among the participating companies, 42% are transport, logistics, distribution and derivative services companies. 31% are intralogistics, storage and equipment companies. And the remaining 27%, companies of new technologies and IT solutions.
More than 250 corporate events have been organized and more than 220 speakers will offer lectures or talks, where more than 120 success stories will be presented.
Some of the topics that will be discussed during the fair are:
- Big Data and artificial intelligence (AI): how to transform data into value. Where will be explained how Big Data and AI can be applied to logistics, as well as the challenges and opportunities that arise.
- Implementation of digitization. Where the presentation of several real cases is foreseen.
- Blockchain in logistics
- Sustainability in transport and logistics.
- Logistics in the automotive sector. Where the topic of electrification in logistics will also be discussed.
Topics of maximum importance for the future of the sector will also be discussed, such as the challenges of the new logistics and the keys of the sector to face the transformation.
In short, many and varied issues that concern and occupy logistics and transport companies for the years to come.
The «SIL Innovation Zone», a space dedicated to the presentation of logistics innovation projects, has been located within the fair. And the «Startup Connection Hub», an exclusive space for startups to present disruptive solutions that can impact the supply chain.
It also has a networking area where more than 3,500 «quick» meetings are planned.
In parallel to the fair, the eDelivery Barcelona Expo & Congresss, the International Fair of Delivery, Logistics and the Last Mile in eCommerce are held. Where more than 50 exhibiting companies will be present and where more than 4,100 professional visitors are expected to visit.
